Though, I would be lying if I said that that excitement was never paired with uncertainty &#8211; an uncertainty rooted in the trivial concerns of whether or not I would look \u201cpretty.\u201d I was falling prey to the very social expectations which I was trying to challenge. And so THAT is why I am doing this.
