“so, i faced one of my biggest fears and shaved my head! i did this for many reasons and i\u2019m really proud of myself.
\n1. my whole life, i\u2019ve always cared so much about what people think of me. i have lived to try and please everyone. even down to little things like which nail color should i pick or what hair dye should i choose, and i would pick the color that everyone told me to, even if i liked a different color more. I did this FOR ME. i didn\u2019t consult anyone, i didn\u2019t ask for anyone\u2019s opinion, i said you know what? i\u2019m gonna do this because I WANT TO, and that is so freeing.
\n2. beauty is a social construct. our society engraves it into our head that we have to have long hair to be pretty and it\u2019s simply NOT TRUE. you are beautiful with hair or without, it doesn\u2019t matter.
\n3. i thought to myself, those in my life who truly love me for me, won\u2019t stop loving me because i don\u2019t have hair.
\nWith that being said, if something scares you, DO IT. Life is short, you only live once. Take risks. Do what makes you happy.”<\/i><\/p>\n
